General questions
What does the print production process involve? There are three stages to the print production process: reprographics, printing and finishing (click on the links to find out more about each stage). Ashford Colour Press provides all three stages of this process, so as to prevent time delay and quality problems in sub-contracting services.
Is our work secure?
We consider this very important, so the factory is highly secure:
- A key fob system controls all entrances including offices
- The entire unit is covered by zonal monitored burglar and fire alarm system
- Entry to Fareham Reach is also restricted by a manned gate, which is locked at night
These security systems enable us to produce work of a confidential nature.
Are you an environment-friendly company?
The print process generates waste from paper, machines and ink disposal.
Our factory has an integral waste removal system for paper which is attached to a compactor. This is fed from the binder, stitcher and guillotines, and we upgraded the system to include the folders in 2001.
We are in the process of installing a Technotran recycling system, rag recycling programme and are currently working towards Environmental Standard ISO 14001.
